Engineering and design firm Olsson Associates has promoted two people to take on office leadership for the firm’s Colorado offices. Dana Mack has been promoted to office leader for the Loveland, Golden, and Greeley offices. Rod Penniman will take on office leadership for the Grand Junction and Denver offices, in addition to his continued responsibilities as office leader for Olsson’s Phoenix office.
Mack has two decades of experience managing multifaceted environmental projects, construction projects, and teams. She has worked as a senior scientist and as the team leader for the Golden and Northern Colorado Environmental team since joining Olsson in 2013.
“Dana brings a great balance of strategy, energy and growth to this role,” said Jeff Ford, executive vice president of technical operations. “She has a sharp vision for what Olsson can become and is already taking steps to get us there.”
Penniman rejoined Olsson in 2014, having previously worked for the firm from 2005 to 2006. He is a civil engineer with nearly 30 years of transportation experience, and served as an office leader at another civil firm.
“Rod’s leadership will be invaluable in Grand Junction and Denver,” Ford said. “He’ll be instrumental in tying together staff throughout Colorado and Arizona, particularly in sharing staff and resources within the public sector.”
Olsson Associates offers comprehensive design and consulting services in site/civil, transportation, water, environmental, field operations, survey and facilities. The firm was ranked No. 116 on Engineering News-Record’s top 500 design firms national list in 2016. Established in 1956, Olsson has nearly 30 offices in the Midwest and Southwest U.S. The employee-owned firm has more than 1,000 employees.
