Larry Blankenship,PE, has joined Olsson Associates’ Transportation team in the Kansas City region. Blankenship most recently served as assistant city engineer for the City of Overland Park, Kansas. At Olsson, he will serve as a senior engineer. His role will include project management and design, completing project quality checks and he’ll have a key role in mentoring the team’s design staff.
Blankenship’s 30 years of municipal experience and knowledge in all aspects of capital improvement projects makes him a great asset to Olsson. He also has 15 years of experience delivering locally administered federally funded projects.

Blankenship earned an Associates of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the Hawkeye Institute of Technology. He was also awarded Engineer of the Year in 2006 from the Easter Chapter of the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers.
