Close coordination and communication within and among these teams and with internal clients contributes to consistency across Olsson Associates in key areas.

Administrative

Administrative staff work in event and meeting coordination; support and coordination of senior staff members; front desk support; clerical duties, including recording meeting minutes, data entry, redlining client invoices, managing agreements/amendments/special contracts, and maintaining project files.

Business Development

The Business Development team strengthens client portfolios by targeting new national client accounts, leveraging services to grow current client accounts, and creating a cohesive sales approach for how Olsson Associates sells our services.

Client Services

The Client Services team works as an intermediary between clients and technical staff for project feedback. Team members provide client visits/calls and project debriefs; assist with client events; host client panels; provide training to technical employees; and support project management transitions.

Communications

The Communications team works to share news and information with employees and external audiences. Staff members provide employee communications through a variety of mediums; manage web and intranet sites; work with internal teams and leaders on messaging; and provide media relations, brand management and messaging, client communications, and video services.

Corporate Executive

Corporate Executives are responsible for the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategy. Corporate Executives also oversee office operations, national/large clients, or large project management, and grow Olsson Associates firmwide in practices, regions, and market sectors.

Finance & Accounting

The Finance and Accounting group oversees all financial transactions of the organization including financial reporting, timesheet and expense processing, payroll, vendor payment processing, credit cards, 401(k) and ESOP administration, client invoicing, internal units, accounts receivable, professional and general liability insurance, legal/contracts, office leases, financial audits, FAR overhead rate, tax planning, vehicle management, company fixed assets, stock valuation, cash management, and real estate investments.

The Human Resources team is responsible for recruiting/hiring, new employee orientation and onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, terminations, base pay and bonus compensation programs, employee benefits, wellness programs, paid time off programs, labor law/policy development, EEO compliance, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, safety, human resources information management system, talent analytics, and succession planning.

Information Technology

The Information Technology (IT) group works with both software and hardware support of the firm. This includes managing cell and desk phones, end-user hardware/software support, design software support (AutoCAD, Microstation, RevIT, GIS), printers/copiers, programming, email, network design and storage, disaster recovery, network connectivity, internet access, video/audio conferencing, conference room AV, and systems security.
